Empowering Communities for Sustainable Futures

Founded by Mr. Nate Goodson in March 2022, The Promise Center is a non-profit organization headquartered in Homewood. Drawing from personal experiences and an acute understanding of the complex dynamics of street life, Mr. Goodson has embraced the challenge of establishing businesses dedicated to fostering stability in families and communities through robust capacity-building initiatives. His comprehensive approach addresses critical areas:

Community Violence and Youth Impact

initiatives prioritize tackling community violence, with a specific emphasis on its adverse effects on children and youth. Through disciplined programs and character-building activities, the goal is to empower young individuals, fostering self-sufficiency while mitigating youth-related violence.

Educational Achievements

initiatives aim to enhance educational outcomes for children and youth, providing them with tools and resources for personal and academic growth. By instilling discipline and character-building skills, the programs aspire to equip the younger generation for a successful and violence-free future.

Positive Parenting and Basic Healthcare

Mr. Goodson recognizes the importance of positive parenting and access to basic healthcare. His initiatives support families by promoting positive parenting practices and addressing basic healthcare needs, ensuring that essential necessities for survival and thriving, such as quality nutrition and accessible healthcare, are readily available.

Economic Safety Nets

to foster self-sufficiency, economic safety nets are established, providing communities with the resources and opportunities needed for sustainable growth. This includes initiatives focused on job creation, skills development, and economic empowerment, ensuring that families can build a foundation for long-term stability.
